Resolutions establish Council policies or actions and require a majority vote. Resolutions are binding decisions and can be altered, repealed or changed by a subsequent Council action. They become effective immediately unless otherwise specified.
If you know the number of the resolution you are seeking, select List of Resolutions. This will take you to a directory of years. The year is listed at the far right of each line entry (e.g., 1999).
Select the year you want to view. This takes you to a listing of all resolutions for that year. The resolution numbers are listed at the far right of each line entry.
Select the resolution you wish to view. This will open a pdf version of the resolution you can view and print. Please note that not all attachments are available in digital format. To view or obtain a hard copy of any attachments, contact the City Clerk's office or go to the Public Records page and download a request form.
How to interpret document names:
File names for each resolution are labeled first by year, next by governing body, third by document type and lastly by resolution number.
1986_CC_RES_3066 = 1986 City Council Resolution No. 3066
2003 CC RES 03 038 = 2003 City Council Resolution No. 03-038
If you do not know the number of the resolution you want, but have a general idea of the year or month the resolution was adopted, you may choose to view the Index of Resolutions for that particular year (see below) and scan the titles of resolutions. (Note that yearly indexes are only available online from 1990 to the present. Hard copies for prior years are available for review in the City Clerks Office.)
The Index of Resolutions is divided into three columns: resolution number, date of adoption, and title. Once you locate the number of the resolution you want, return to List of Resolutions to view the specific resolution.
