On August 20, 2013, the City of Paso Robles approved a revision to Chapter 5.38 of the Paso Robles Municipal Code governing massage within the city. In compliance with the ordinance, owners renewing a business license must provide a current and valid copy of their employee’s CAMTC certificate. This is a requirement for every person performing or engaging in the practice of massage at a massage establishment.

In addition, massage establishment owners and operators who do not possess a valid CAMTC certificate are subject to a background check pursuant to Section 5.38.080, and prior to the issuance of a city business license.

Please contact Officer Dan Hackett at the Paso Robles Police Department for more information regarding the requirements for your massage establishment.
