Current Agenda - July 14, 2010
REC Foundation, which stands for Recreation Enhances Community, was formed in 1999 and formally became a non-profit foundation in February of 2000. The non-profit group, consisting of 12 members, and four honorary members, was formed as a fundraising arm for the benefit and enhancement of parks and recreation in the City of Paso Robles. Their first fundraising effort, the Duck Derby, was held in October of 2001 and netted over $15,000. To date, over $50,000 has been raised and invested back into park and recreation amenities. The effort of REC Foundation has become the impetus behind the playground replacement project at Sherwood Park, which is dubbed "Sherwood Forest". Donations may be made to REC Foundation at 600 Nickerson Dr., Paso Robles, CA 93446
