The following Workforce Development databases have been funded by the California State Library.

Coursera partners with more than 200 leading universities and companies to bring flexible, affordable, job-relevant online learning to individuals and organizations worldwide. It offers a range of learning opportunities from hands-on projects and courses to job-ready certificates and degree programs.

Enki offers a wide selection of test preparation materials as well as study aids.

GetSetUp has a catalog of over 500 classes exclusively for older adults. During the week, it offers more than 40 live classes every day as well as 25 on weekends. GetSetUp offers classes for older adults just learning technology, as well as classes in the following categories:

  • Physical Health (exercise, healthy cooking)
  • Mental Health (stress, meditation, dementia)
  • Social Health (book club, gardening, pets)
  • Vocational Health (resume writing, interviewing) 

JobNow & VetNow
JobNow and VetNow offer learning, career, and veteran support tools, such as resume and writing labs and an extensive list of resources, in addition to in-person support, such as live job coaching, live tutoring, and live veteran benefits eligibility. An Unemployment Benefits Navigator has recently been added to JobNow to assist patrons struggling to file for unemployment benefits.

LearningExpress provides interactive tutorials, practice tests, e-books, flashcards and articles for academic skill-building, standardized test preparation, career development and more. These award-winning learning tools are available through multiple online platforms designed to help students and professionals achieve their educational and career goals. Recently added is the ServSafe California Food Handler practice exam!

LinkedIn Learning provides video courses taught by industry experts in software, creative, and business skills. All the courses on LinkedIn fall into three categories: Business, Creative, and Technology.
