Retirement
The City contracts with California Public Employee’s Retirement System (CalPERS) and participates in Social Security. Retirement plans vary between employee groups.

Medical
The City provides health plan options through CalPERS to all full-time employees. The City contributes monthly towards the health plan depending on employee classification.
Dental & Vision
The City offers dental and vision coverage to all full time employees, with the City’s monthly contribution dependent on employee classification.
Life
Group term life insurance is provided for all full-time employees. The amount of coverage varies depending on the classification.
Long Term Disability Insurance
Long-term disability insurance is available to management employees.
Employee Assistance Program
The Employee Assistance Program provides counseling and consultation service designed to help employees and eligible family members with a wide range of personal issues.
Flexible Benefits Program
The Flexible Benefits Program helps employees save taxes on pre-tax health insurance premium deductions, unreimbursed / uncovered medical expenses, and dependent care expenses.
Paid Leave
Vacation
Starting with 10 days per year, increasing with years of service.
Holidays
14 days per year.
Sick Leave
Accrual of 12 days per year.
Administrative Leave
56-hours per year to be used or cashed out at the end of the year. (Available to exempt management employees.)
Deferred Compensation
Deferred compensation is available for employees to set aside a portion of their salary on a pre-tax basis to supplement retirement. The City's annual contribution or match varies between employee groups and classification.
Tuition Reimbursement
Education reimbursement is provided annually for job-related educational costs to employees who have passed probation.
