On March 1, 2022 the City Council received a presentation on the evaluation of infield conditions at Barney Schwartz Park by SSA Architects. The evaluation concluded that after the recent maintenance, conditions meet all objective standards for softball infields, however due to the dry conditions the City should consider an infield mix with more clay, a field conditioner or an alternate product for infield mix in order for the fields to maintain their current condition throughout the softball season with regular maintenance.
