Learn Ukrainian Sunflower Embroidery

Registration Deadline: May 9
ZOOM Meetup: May 26, 6-7 pm
The country of Ukraine is known for its beautiful traditional embroidery as well as its national flower, the sunflower. Utilizing several stitching techniques, this sunflower embroidery piece is designed for intermediate embroiderers. Space is limited. Registration with Paso Robles City Library card is required for all participants to get craft materials and information about ZOOM meetup. For ages 16+.

Library Book Group Reads: Everything Is Illuminated by Jonathan Safran Foer

ZOOM Meetup: May 19, 6-7 pm
With only a yellowing photograph in hand, a young American man sets out with his grandfather, a family dog, and Alexi, a young Ukrainian translator who speaks in sublimely butchered English, to find the woman who might or might not have saved his grandfather from the Nazis. The title is available in the catalog. Space is limited. Registration is required for each participant to receive ZOOM meetup information. For ages 16+.

Our great Grab & Go activity kits are available for pickup each week (while supplies last).
Every Monday pick up one of our age-appropriate craft kits:

  • Toddler (ages 1-3)
  • Preschool (ages 3-5)
  • Animal Tales (1st-5th grade

Every Tuesday stop by and grab one of the Try It! Tuesdays (children of all ages) kits, which includes everything needed to complete the activity--even the instructions

Please Note: Account passwords have been changed to the last four (4) digits of the patron's primary telephone number on account. Also, San Luis Obispo County and Santa Barbara items will not be checked in until they are received by their owning libraries.
