Sherwood Park
Sherwood Park has a wide variety of amenities that make it a truly unique part of Paso Robles. You'll find a little league baseball field, softball field with bleachers, one basketball court, horseshoe pits, sand volleyball court, one regulation size soccer field, two small soccer fields and four tennis courts.
Aside from the athletic facilities, Sherwood Park has an award winning, fantasy themed playground complete with a bridge, castle structures, a large play structure with shade canopies, a dragon statue and a sword in the stone.
Sherwood Park is open 6 am to 11 pm. Alcohol is only allowed at the park with a permit. No dogs allowed.
Areas Available for Reservation
Picnic Area (with barbecue)
The Sherwood Park Picnic Area is located on the north side of Scott Street and includes a brick barbecue situated on a 1,000 square foot concrete patio. Lawn surrounds three sides of the patio, and the fourth side meets the parking lot. The site includes 2 serving tables, 2 picnic tables, water access but no electricity. The picnic area is approximately 30 yards from the restrooms and a short walk to the baseball and soccer fields. This site is available for parties with less than 100 people.
Sherwood Forest Picnic Area
On the south side of Scott Street, you'll find the Sherwood Forest playground and adjacent Picnic Area. This space is an approximately 1,600 square foot lawn just off the parking lot with no electricity access. The site includes no tables, patio, water or shade cover besides the trees. The Picnic Area is about 10 yards from one of the two playgrounds and approximately 100 yards from the restrooms. This space is perfect for the group with children who want a close proximity to the play structures. This site is available for parties with less than 100 people.

To reserve either facility, download and fill out the Application for Use of Facilities and return it to Recreation Services at Centennial Park, along with a check for the appropriate amount (see fees below). Applications must be submitted no less than 7 days or more than 180 days prior to the requested reservation date.
If your event will include alcohol, you will need to submit an Application for Use of Alcoholic Beverages at least 30 days prior to your date. Reservations with alcohol and/or bounce houses must be processed in person at Recreation Services.
Online reservations are not available at this time.
Alcohol is only allowed at the park with a permit. No dogs allowed.

Rental Rate
Each picnic area is $33/hour and requires a 2 hour reservation minimum.
Nonprofit groups may reserve picnic areas for $25/hour (these reservations cannot be made online).

Sherwood Dog Park
Located just east of Sherwood Park (290 Scott Street), the park offers a safe place for dogs to exercise and socialize in a fenced area, off leash. Click here for dog park info.
