Today we begin a few more weeks of the Be Well Paso Weekly Challenge! As stay-at-home orders evolve, we’ll continue to help you stay fit, productive, connected, and positive.
JUST FOR FUN - We’ve all heard the popular saying "Laughter is the best medicine." Most psychologists agree that humor helps people take back their sense of power in a powerless situation and it helps them connect with others.
LET’S MOVE - Over the past four weeks, you sampled a variety of exercises. Hopefully, you’ve incorporated many of them into your daily life. Over the next few weeks, we’ll turn you on to a few new ones and reintroduce you to a few of our favorites.
WHAT TO DO - In case you’ve run out of things to do, we’ll offer you some fresh ideas.
IT’S ALL GOOD - When things get tough, many people turn to a motivational quote for a bit of inspiration. Quotes have the power to inspire and encourage. Whenever you feel low, unhappy, or lacking motivation, read attentively a few quotes, and you will see how your mood and state of mind begin to improve.
JUST FOR FUN - Dear parents: If your child (meaning, you) was able to log onto Google Classroom today, let’s call it a successful day. If you didn’t, do not panic. Let’s call it a "life skills" day.
LET’S MOVE - Ready for some more hand strengthening exercises? If your hands and fingers feel painful and stiff, try warming them up before you exercise. This can make it easier to move and stretch. Use a heating pad or soak them in warm water for about five to 10 minutes. Or, for a deeper warmth, rub some oil on your hands, put on a pair of rubber gloves, and then soak them in warm water for a few minutes.
WHAT TO DO - Learn calligraphy.

LET’S MOVE - This stretch helps improve the range of motion in your fingers. Hold your hand out in front of you, palm facing you. Bend your fingertips down to touch the base of each finger joint. Your hand should look a little like a claw. Hold for 30 to 60 seconds and release. Repeat at least four times on each hand.
