Another series of storms associated with an “Atmospheric River Connection” brings the potential for significant rainfall beginning early Thursday morning thru Monday.
Those that reside in low lying areas prone to flooding are advised to take precautionary measures in advance of these storms. Storm preparations may include sandbags, clearing storm drains and gutters of debris. During storm events always remember to be aware of rapidly rising water levels and swift moving water. “Turn around and Don’t Drown”.
Recent rainfall has saturated the ground and winds associated with these storms increase the potential for downed trees and power lines. Always be aware of your surroundings and never approach or come in contact with downed power lines.
The Salinas Riverbed is extremely hazardous during these rain events and ALL Residents are advised to not enter the river bed. Signs indicating Danger have been posted along the riverbed, to advise people not to enter the area.
