Make It @ the Library! Felt Appliqué
Learn the art of appliqué! Part hand-sewing and part embroidery, appliqué is decorative needlework in which pieces of fabric are sewn onto a larger piece of fabric to create a picture or pattern. This month, create a cute spring scene designed by weefolkart.com. All supplies and instruction are included. Space is limited. Registration is required. For ages 16+. Saturday, March 2nd, from 10:30am-12:30pm.
Drop in and Color!
This month, enjoy a relaxing and reenergizing evening of coloring from the book Celtic Designs. Coloring materials supplied, but avid colorists are welcome to bring their own projects if they prefer. Registration is not required. For ages 16+. Thursday, March 14th, from 6-8pm.
Paso Robles Library Book Group Reads The Great Alone by Kristin Hannah
The Great Alone is a daring, beautiful, stay-up-all-night story about love and loss, the fight for survival, and the wildness that lives in both man and nature. Registration is not required. For ages 16+. Thursday, March 21st, from 7-8pm.
Learn to Knit and Crochet!
Learn to knit or crochet with knitting/crochet expert Tamara Nichols of Cambria’s Ball & Skein & More shop. Supplies and basic instruction provided. Those experienced in knitting or crochet are welcome to bring their projects and work on them as well. Registration is recommended. For ages 13+. Saturday, March 23rd, from 10:30am-12:00pm.
Table Top Game Day
In Smallworld, each player chooses a fantasy race such as Elves or Orks, which are combined with special powers to conquer territories. If you prefer, you are welcome to play other library-owned games such as Settlers of Catan or Monopoly. Light refreshments will be provided. Registration is recommended. For ages 16+. Saturday, March 23rd, 1-4pm.
Library and AARP Partner to Offer Tax Preparation Assistance
Call the Library to sign up for Saturday tax preparation assistance appointments with IRS-certified volunteers. Space is limited. Call 805.237.3870 to schedule an appointment. The Library also carries instruction booklets for the most common tax forms, and Reference Desk staff can assist you with accessing and printing forms from websites.
