On Thursday July 19, 2018 at approximately 1217 PM the Paso Robles Department of Emergency Services responded to a report of a traffic collision with extrication needed. First arriving firefighters found a single vehicle off the roadway and up the embankment of home in a residential neighborhood. The dispatch was upgraded due to the number of patients found in the vehicle. In total 6 people were found injured which lead to the declaration of an MCI (Multi Casualty Incident). Additional ambulances were called to assist in transporting patients. In total 3 people were transported to local area hospitals. Two fire engines and one Battalion Chief from Paso Robles responded, as well as three ambulances from San Luis Ambulance and an ambulance supervisor. Paso Robles Police Department provided road closures and was actively investigating the cause of the accident.
