On September 23, 2019, at approximately 1:07pm, a bank employee from
Pacific Premier Bank, located at 545 12th St. in Paso Robles, reported a person just entered the bank wearing a blue long sleeve shirt, blue
jeans, gloves, a fedora style hat with a skull on the side, and wearing a mask that resembled an elderly man. The male suspect entered the bank, approached a bank teller, brandisheda revolver handgun and demanded money. The teller complied to avoid a
confrontation and the suspect left the bank holding a small bag that contained an undisclosed amount ofmoney, and walked northbound toward 13th St.
The bank employee, who had originally called 911, was still on the telephone with Paso Robles Police Dispatch as the suspect exited the bank and yelled at the suspect. The suspect was holding the revolver in his hand and started to run northbound through the alley toward 13th St. Paso Robles Police patrol units arrived in the area of the bank within one minute of the initial call and began searching for the suspect. CHPAir Operations were also called to assist with overhead surveillance of the area. Patrol units were unable to locate the suspect. Paso Robles Police Detectives assumed the investigation and contacted the Santa Maria branch of the FBI for assistance.
