Duties will include evaluation and recommendation of the 2019 Housing Element update
PASO ROBLES, CA, October 21, 2019 – The City of Paso Robles is currently accepting applications for its Housing Constraints and Opportunities Committee (HCOC).
The Housing Constraints and Opportunities Committee was created by the Paso Robles City Council in October of 2015 as a response to the housing shortage. The Committee's task is to make recommendations to the City Council that will ultimately increase the housing supply and housing affordability. The Housing Constraints and Opportunities Committee will act a steering committee for the City’s 2019 General Plan Housing Element update process that is expected to be completed by the end of 2020.
The Housing Constraints and Opportunities Committee has accomplished the following:
• Studio / 1-bed apartment Development Impact Fees reduction
• 2nd unit fees reductions - Development Impact Fees and connection fees
• Chandler Ranch Specific plan - split into 2 smaller plan areas
• Water and Sewer Connection Fee reductions
• 2019 Circulation Element update
• 2019 Transportation Impact Fee update and reduction

The City Council will be making appointments to the Committee in early November.
Meetings are likely to occur every 2 months on average.
