[ARCHIVED] Digital Help for Parents with School-Age Children at Home

Library provides helpful websites to keep school-age children engaged in learning

PASO ROBLES, CA – Over the next few days, the Paso Robles City Library will share suggested websites to help parents and students stay engaged in learning. Below are recommended sites for school-age children.  

Abdo Digital Bookshelf
Read-to-Me eBooks; eBooks; Databases; Interactive eBooks for elementary grades 

Abdo Zoom Research Database 
Database for beginning readers 

Scholastic Learn at Home
Day-by-day projects to keep kids reading, thinking, and growing 

Lunch Doodles
Mo Willems invites learners once a day for the next few weeks to draw, doodle and explore new ways of writing.  

Oxford Owl
Oxford University Press’ learning activities by ages 

ABCya! Educational Games by Grade Level 
Learning games and videos by grade level 

Children’s Museum Houston 
Hundreds of science, match, reading and fine arts activities and videos for students K-5 

Khan Academy 
Daily schedules for students ages 2-18 to keep them learning

In addition, Paso Robles Library card holders are encouraged to make use of the library’s extensive digital resources. Visit https://www.prcity.com/248/eLibrary for access to such free downloadable materials as books, movies, magazines, learning tools, and databases. For those without a current library account wishing to access digital resources, eCards are available (for ages 13 and up) through the Black Gold Cooperative Library System. Visit https://www.blackgold.org for eCard information and registration.
