[ARCHIVED] Digital Help for Middle/High School Students at Home

Library provides helpful websites to help teens stay engaged in learning

PASO ROBLES, CA –Over the next few days, the Paso Robles City Library will provide lists of suggested websites for parents and students to help stay engaged in learning. Below are recommended sites for middle and high school students. 

Free Ivy League Courses Online  
450 Ivy League courses available online right now for free from Brown, Harvard, Cornell, Princeton, Dartmouth, Yale, and Columbia universities, and the University of Pennsylvania. 

Short Story Literature Course for Middle/High School Students
Tutorials, ideas, tips and best practices for the education of the gifted from Lisa Van Gemert of GiftedGuru.com. 

Scholastic Learn at Home
Day-by-day projects to keep students reading, thinking, and growing up to 9th grade. 

Khan Academy
Daily schedules for students ages 2-18 to keep them learning 

Scratch – Learn to Code
Program your own interactive stories, games, and animations — and share your creations with others in the online community—to encourage creativity, systematic reasoning, and collaboration 

Learn to Type: Lessons for all ages
Keyboarding, Digital Literacy, & Coding  

In addition, Paso Robles Library card holders are encouraged to make use of the library’s extensive digital resources. Visit https://www.prcity.com/248/eLibrary for access to such free downloadable materials as books, movies, magazines, learning tools, and databases. For those without a current library account wishing to access digital resources, eCards are available (for ages 13 and up) through the Black Gold Cooperative Library System. Visit https://www.blackgold.org for eCard information and registration.
