PASO ROBLES, CA – The Paso Robles City Library is pleased to offer patrons free home access to Ancestry.com while the library is closed to the public.
Ancestry.com is a subscription-based service that searches billions of documents, such as birth, marriage and death records; military records; tax, criminal, and land records; wills; and city, school, and church directories.
The library’s subscription requires patron to access the site from the library, but for now, patrons need only visit AncestryLibrary and provide their library card number. Passwords are not necessary.
For those without a current library account wishing to access this and other digital resources, eCards are available (for ages 13 and up) through the Black GoldCooperative Library System. Visit https://www.blackgold.org for eCard information and registration.
Once the library reopens, patrons will continue to be able to access the Ancestry database when they visit the library. In the meantime, Paso Robles Library card holders are encouraged to make use of all the library’s extensive digital resources. Visit www.prcity.com for access to such free downloadable materials as books, movies, magazines, learning tools, and databases.
Library staff is on hand to answer account inquiries Monday-Saturday, 10 am-5 pm. Call 805-237-3870.
