Library to offer virtual workshop for jobseekers March 10

PASO ROBLES, CA – March 1, 2021 The Paso Robles City Library is pleased to present a Brainfuse Résumé Reboot Workshop, hosted by Job Search Coach Ashley Watkins, a Nationally Certified Résumé Writer (NCRW) and Nationally Certified Online Profile Expert (NCOPE), on Wednesday, March 10, at 2:00 pm. The workshop will cover three key areas to help jobseekers reboot their résumés:

    How to create a keyword-rich résumé that hiring managers find so irresistible, they’d be crazy not to make the call;

    What design elements draw the reader's attention to your skills, competencies, and results;

    Strategies for showcasing your value so you land more interviews and higher-paying positions.

JobNow/VetNow, available to Library patrons, are products of Brainfuse. The two platforms offer learning, career, and veteran support tools, such as resume and writing labs and an extensive list of resources, in addition to in-person support, such as live job coaching, live veteran benefits eligibility, and live tutoring. An Unemployment Benefits Navigator has recently been added to JobNow to assist patrons struggling to file for unemployment benefits.

Registration is required through Brainfuse to attend the Résumé Reboot Workshop. Space is limited. For more information, contact Adult Services Librarian Karen Christiansen, kchristiansen@prcity.com.

At this time, the Library is open Monday-Saturday 9-10 for vulnerable populations; Monday-Friday 10-7 for the general public and Saturday 10-4 for the general public. Curbside service is also available. Call the library at 805-237-3870 or visit prcity.com/library and the Library Facebook and Instagram sites for updates.
