Paso Robles Extends Local Business Incentive Program Until June 15th

Gift Card Program-01

PASO ROBLES, CA, April 14, 2021 -- The City of Paso Robles' "Keep It Local" gift card program is now scheduled to continue until June 15, 2021, to coincide with the potential re-opening of the state’s economy, as announced by Governor Newsom.

The Paso Robles "Keep it Local" Gift Card Program is designed to generate sales revenue for local businesses and save residents money.  Over 75 local businesses are participating in the campaign offering 20% discounts on full-value gift cards and certificates for a wide range of goods and services.

"We are very pleased that this program has been successful in generating much needed revenue for local businesses with a 5-to-1 return on the investment by the City," said Paul Sloan, Economic Development Manager for the City of Paso.  “To date, over $85,000 in revenue has been generated for local businesses through this program.”

The program funds incentives for locals to buy full-value gift cards or certificates from Paso Robles businesses at a 20% discount and the City will fund the difference up to $1,000 per business, equating to $5,000 in sales revenue per business, thereby leveraging limited City funds to achieve a larger positive impact for local businesses.

Comments from local businesses about the Keep It Local program include:

“Our customers were just thrilled with the 20% off on Gift Certificates!  Everyone was extremely complimentary of the City of Paso Robles for creating this program, and MANY of our customers expressed that they wished this was being done in their cities!  It was such a GREAT idea!”  --Julie Dunn, Park Street Gallery.

“We're so excited about how the city is supporting the businesses from all sectors. The gift card promotion is a positive for our business and has encouraged our clients for a safe return to massage therapy services.” --Mary Uebersax & Greg Carroll, EarthTones Gifts, Gallery and Center for Healing.

“It’s been a popular program and we appreciate the support!  Thanks very much for putting this together to help businesses like mine out...” --Russell B. Baker, The Backyard on Thirteenth.

Paso residents looking to take advantage of these special deals are strongly encouraged to act while the offers are still available.
