Holiday Safety

The winter holiday season is traditionally a festive and eventful time of year. Unfortunately, statistics show that incidents of home fires and electrical accidents typically increase during winter months. Be Prepared for Storms

Rainfall amounts from anticipated winter storms could be significant, which could cause local flooding. City staff cleans storm drains and pipes all year to prevent flooding. If you wish to make sandbags to protect private property, the City has sand available at the City Streets Yard located at 1220 Paso Robles Street. Be a Census Taker

The US Census Bureau is hiring for the 2020 Census. They are hosting a local enumerator recruitment event at the SLO County Government Center at 1055 Monterey St in SLO on January 9, 2019 from 10:00 AM - 11:30 PM.  We encourage anyone interested in working as a Census enumerator to attend to obtain information and speak to the regional recruitment representative.  Details

The Paso Robles City Council meets the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of each month at 6:30 PM in the City Council Chamber at 1000 Spring Street. Next agenda

Frozen Fun Coronation Party 

Join Queen Elsa and Princess Anna for a coronation party complete with cookies, cocoa, cider and chocolate! Princess Anna will transform participants with beautiful face painting decorations featuring a crown or reindeer. Queen Elsa will be at the craft table helping children create their own ice palace then sing along to Queen Elsa's favorite song. Fancy attire is recommended. Make a Holiday Pop-Out Card

Join local artist and author Beryl Reichenberg to make a festive holiday pop-out card during this fun children's paper craft class. Plenty of art supplies will be provided. Kids under the age of six may need help from an adult. Bring your creativity and enthusiasm. Coding Arcade Games

Don't just play video games, make them! Learn to create a platform-style video game in HTML5, like Super Mario Bros, using introductory graphical programming software. Students will have the option to choose characters and game objects from a clip art library or create their own characters. Mail Your Letter to Santa at Centennial Park

Santa’s elves have installed a special mailbox in the Centennial Park lobby!  Bring your children to drop off their letters to Santa between noon and 5:00 PM Monday through Friday, December 2 - 20 and receive a special holiday treat for the kids directly from the North Pole.

Holiday Hospitality Days

Join the recreation staff for seasonal holiday treats, coffee or cocoa and conversation in the Centennial Park lobby on four special days this season from 9:00 AM-6:00 PM on Tuesday, December 3; Wednesday, December 11; Thursday, December 19 and Friday, December 20.

Senior Water Quality Inspector

This lead position assists with implementing the City's stormwater management and Fats, Oil, and Grease (FOG) programs, inspects food service facilities and constructions sites, reviews plans to ensure conformance with city codes, standards, approved plans, and water quality regulations.  Performs related duties as required. Details

Police Officer

Under general supervision and in cooperation with the community, perform law enforcement and crime prevention work to provide for the safety of the public. Patrols a designated area of the City in a radio-equipped car, motorcycle, or on foot, for the prevention of crime and enforcement of traffic laws and regulations; performs other related duties as required or assigned. Police Officer Recruit

This is a non-sworn, training-level classification in the Police Department. Recruits do not have police officer powers or authority. Incumbents will assume non-sworn duties within the department and attend a P.O.S.T. Certified Academy, approximately 6 months in length.
