COVID test kit

North County COVID-19 Testing Sites

Paso Robles residents are encouraged to get tested for the COVID-19 virus if they are experiencing symptoms.

MedPost Urgent Care locations in the Central Coast region now offer COVID-19 evaluations and testing -- 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., seven days a week. Patients can call ahead, schedule online, or walk in at their convenience at the following locations:

North County sites:       
  • MedPost Urgent Care of Atascadero
    7330 El Camino Real

  • MedPost Urgent Care of Paso Robles
    500 1st St.
    (805) 226-4222
Masks and hand sanitizer are provided for everyone entering the building and social distancing is in place.

Patients also have the option of waiting in their car after check-in and receiving a text when it’s time to be seen. Call your nearest MedPost location for additional information.

Pandemic Unemployment Assistance Program (PUA)

EDD will begin accepting applications for the PUA program on April 28th. 

The PUA will provide federally funded benefits for certain individuals out of work or partially unemployed due to COVID-19.

This includes the self-employed, employees who lack sufficient work history, independent contractors and gig workers. 

Benefits will be issued within 24-48 hours – not the traditional 21 days for regular unemployment claims.

Relief for Paso Robles Businesses

The Federal government passed a relief package that includes new funding for small businesses hurt by the Coronavirus outbreak.

Businesses are encouraged to apply* now given that funds for this second round of assistance are likely to be exhausted quickly.

Paso Robles businesses can apply for relief through 15 local eligible lenders. See the map of all eligible local lenders.

Free WiFi Networks in Paso Robles

During this shelter-at-home period, the City is helping student residents with internet accessibility by expanding reception at two locations: in front of the City Library on 11th Street and at the Library Study Center at 36th and Oak. To connect to the WiFi, log into the library’s secured network which is the same at both locations:

In addition, Spectrum and Ranch Wi-Fi are also offering free or discounted services.

Dignity Health hospitals and Vitalant are hosting blood donation drives in San Luis Obispo county.  Blood drives are scheduled on the following dates:
