Full Stage 2 Reopening

The State has approved San Luis Obispo County’s attestation of readiness, which means we can fully enter Stage 2 of the State's Resilience Roadmap.

That means in-store shopping and dining in restaurants can start with some modifications. (Per the State guidelines, breweries, bars, and wineries that do not sell food for sit-down dining are not yet allowed to open at this time).

Before reopening, all facilities must:
  • Perform a detailed risk assessment and implement a site-specific protection plan
  • Train employees to limit the spread of COVID-19
  • Implement individual control measures and screenings, disinfecting protocols and physical distancing guidelines
Business owners or managers must also complete and sign the COVID-19 Self-Evaluation & Certification Form for each facility acknowledging compliance with the State’s Resilience Roadmap and that they are implementing the State guidance.  County or City officials, business employees, and customers may request to review the form during random compliance checks, so businesses should retain a signed copy of the completed form on site.

Local businesses that are currently open or planning to reopen can now find a “Ready to Reopen” toolkit at EmergencySLO.org/reopen
Testing flyer

Free Testing Available

ALL residents including those without symptoms are eligible for testing at the Paso Robles Veteran’s Center State sponsored testing site at 240 Scott Street.

Conducting a certain number of tests is one of the State’s key criteria for reopening. The County will continue to encourage increases in testing and asymptomatic testing as long as resources are available.

Tests are by appointment. Register online for an appointment or call 888-634-1123.

It is important to get tested, even if you do not have symptoms, because the virus may be spread by people who do not experience symptoms and by those who later develop symptoms. This test site may be leaving Paso Robles soon so book an appointment now.
