Book to Action Series

Get ready to take part in the Library's Book to Action classes and events, funded by the California Center for the Book. Community partners include: Paso Robles Library Foundation, SLO Legal Assistance Foundation, Food Bank Coalition of San Luis Obispo County.

Centered on the Pulitzer-prize winning book Evicted by Matthew Desmond, Library offerings in August will explore issues surrounding the topic of housing insecurity. Beginning July 15, free copies of Evicted will be provided to library users, while supplies last -- just ask at the Circulation Desk to get your copy. Book to Action is a grant-funded program provided through the California Center for the Book.

August Food Drive

August Food Drive. Throughout the month, take action to help alleviate hunger in our community. Donating is easy! Bring in unexpired items from the following list and place them in the bins provided: 
1. Standard or larger sized cans of soup, chili, stew, fruits or vegetables.
2. Six-ounce or larger sized cans of meat, chicken, or seafood.
3. One pound or larger sized packages of dried rice or pasta.
4. Family-sized boxes of foods such as macaroni and cheese or add-hamburger entrees.
Bring in 10 or more cans and receive a thank you gift from the Library.
