Reopening Updates

Business Closures

Effective July 13, 2020, ALL counties in California must close indoor operations in these sectors:

Dine-in restaurants
Wineries and tasting rooms
Movie theaters
Family entertainment centers (for example: bowling alleys, miniature golf, batting cages and arcades)
Zoos and museums
Cardrooms

Additionally, bars, brewpubs, breweries, and pubs must close all operations both indoor and outdoor statewide.

San Luis Obispo County has been added to the state’s monitoring list. Following three days on the monitoring list, it is expected that the State will order us to shut down the following industries unless they can be modified to operate outside or by pick-up.

Fitness centers
Worship services
Protests
Offices for non-essential sectors
Personal care services, like nail salons, body waxing and tattoo parlors
Hair salons and barbershops
Malls

Protecting Mental Wellness

This is hard. We know it and we all feel it. We can protect our own mental wellness and the wellness of our friends and loved ones in a few key ways.

Focus on what you CAN do rather than what you can't
Stay in contact with friends and loved ones
Get enough rest
Get some exercise
Bolster your immune system
Use mental health resources when necessary

Eviction and Mortgage Relief

Renters who have suffered financial hardships as a result of COVID-19 cannot be evicted. While our local Emergency Order to suspend evictions expired on May 31, local renters who are financially impacted by COVID-19 are still protected under the State Judicial Council’s recently extended rules on evictions through July 28, 2020. Mortgage relief is also available for rental owners.
