SLO County Still in Red Tier for NowSLO county has met the health metrics to stay in the less restrictive Red Tier in the state's Blueprint for a Safer Economy, but COVID-19 case counts continue to fluctuate, with a significant number of those cases originating in the Paso Robles zip code area.
If our county's metrics improve to less than 4 new cases per day we can move into the Orange Tier and reopen more businesses. Understand which activities and businesses are open in the four tiers. Each Paso Robles resident can help keep our businesses open by following the COVID-19 prevention guidance below.

CDC Holiday GuidelinesAs many people in the United States begin to plan for fall and winter holiday celebrations, the CDC offers these considerations to help protect individuals and their families, friends, and communities from COVID-19. These considerations are meant to supplement—not replace—any state, local, territorial, or tribal health and safety laws, rules, and regulations with which holiday gatherings must comply. When planning to host a holiday celebration, the CDC recommends you assess current COVID-19 levels in your community to determine whether to postpone, cancel, or limit the number of attendees.

Childcare ResourcesAs the pandemic drags on and schools reopen under hybrid models, childcare continues to be a stressor on SLO County families - both financially and logistically. You can find a list of available childcare resources here, and a full range of family resources on the CAPSLO website. If you have been considering opening a childcare operation, there are resources to help you do that here.

Mask DriveCalling all crafting and sewing community members: we need your help making cloth face masks for our SLO County neighbors! We’ll distribute them in COVID-19 prevention kits for farm workers, at local food pick-up sites, and to other residents who can’t readily make or purchase their own. Pre-cut kits, graciously donated by Birch Fabrics, are available at the Paso Robles City Library and completed masks can be dropped off at the Paso Robles Police Department at 900 Park Street. Call 805.227.7236 for more info. Mask tutorial here.
