Updated Guidance for Outdoor Business Operations

As California starts to experience colder months, restaurants and other businesses that must continue to operate outdoors may wish to enclose more than one side of the operation to contain heat and avoid rain. This document outlines the parameters businesses must follow to reduce the risk of COVID-19 transmission for customers in these temporary structures and to qualify as outdoor operations under CDPH's guidance.

Super Stocking Drive-Thru

Santa’s helpers from Recreation Services and the Paso Police Department have joined forces to plan a safe holiday drive-thru celebration. Load up the family and join the elves for the Super Stocking Drive-Thru Giveaway in the parking lot at Centennial Park on Saturday, December 5 from noon to 2 PM  While supplies last, Santa’s elves from the Paso Robles Police Department will be distributing special holiday stockings filled with toys especially for girls or boys to all children present.

Shop Local, Save the World

Okay, maybe you won't save the whole world, but you will help save our little corner of it. In addition to our awesome family-owned shops downtown, there are numerous local businesses creating gifts of all shapes, sizes and price points. And with COVID in effect, you know shipping isn't going to be as fast as in years past. Win-Win!

Cal-OSHA COVID-19 Regulations

Starting January 1, Cal/OSHA can shut down an entire worksite or a specific area that exposes workers to an imminent hazard related to COVID-19. If you are an employer, Cal-OSHA provides free consultation to help you follow the rules. Visit the agency’s website and Training Academy for more information. Cal/OSHA is also scheduling industry-specific webinars and has a one-pager on what employers should know.

Tenant and Landlord Protections

Eviction moratorium
The statewide freeze on residential evictions has been extended through February 28, 2021. Renters in California who cannot pay their rent because of COVID-19-related hardships should know their rights and responsibilities.

Mortgage foreclosure protection and relief
Small homeowners have been extended foreclosure protections in a state order passed August 31. Many banks and financial institutions have committed to providing relief for homeowners in California. Find out more about mortgage help and how to get it.

Avoiding utility shut-off
Many utility providers are not shutting off services due to non-payment. Check with the California Public Utilities Commission for more information. The Water Board restricts the shut off of water during the COVID crisis. Please use this form to report any water shutoff or reconnect issue.
