Vaccine PlanStarting Monday, January 18, adults 75 years and older can get a COVID-19 vaccination by appointment at one of two clinics in SLO County, including one at the Paso Robles Event Center (fairgrounds). Schedule an appointment at www.RecoverSLO.org or by calling the County’s Phone Assistance Center at (805) 543-2444, which is now available 7 days a week, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

COVID Stats for SLO CountyAs of January 14, 2021, SLO County is reporting 2,856 active COVID-19 cases (over 1 in 100 residents countywide) and has reported 119 deaths since the start of the pandemic. 11,422 have recovered. 50 residents are currently in the hospital and 7 are in the ICU. There are currently 22 staffed ICU beds available in SLO County. Detailed statistics. County Public Health asks that SLO County residents continue to wear masks, limit mixing outside of your household, wash your hands frequently and practice physical distancing.

"Keep It Local" ProgramThe City of Paso Robles is pleased to announce the launch of a new promotion to encourage Paso residents to support their local businesses. The Paso Robles "Keep it Local" Gift Card Program is designed to generate additional sales revenue for local businesses and save residents money on local goods and services. The program encourages locals to buy full-value gift cards or certificates from Paso Robles businesses at a 20% discount and the City will then reimburse the 20% discount amount back to participating businesses up to $1,000 per business, equating to $5,000 in additional sales revenue per business. Childcare Supply DriveThe Economic Vitality Corporation of San Luis Obispo County, in collaboration with First 5 SLO County, Child Care Planning Council SLO County, and the Community Action Partnership of San Luis Obispo County, has established a COVID-19 relief supply drive that will run through January 27, 2021. This supply drive will benefit more than 290 local child care programs, licensed to serve over 6000 children, that are experiencing devastating losses and mounting costs due to the pandemic. Unemployment InsuranceIn December 2020, the federal government passed legislation providing an additional 11 weeks of benefits. This is in addition to the additional 13 weeks of unemployment benefits that was part of the CARES Act. The legislation also includes a $300 per week supplement to unemployment benefits.

Eviction ProtectionAvailable to anyone with a coronavirus-related hardship, like loss of or reduction income; prevents you from being evicted if you declare your hardship. Protection runs through February 1, 2021. Visit the state's Housing page to learn what your hardship declaration must include.Rent is still due and evictions can still occur. Mortgage AssistanceAvailable to homeowners or landlords who own 3 or fewer residential properties. Prevents your property from being foreclosed on if declare a COVID-related hardship. Protection length varies depending on program. If you have a federally-backed mortgage, foreclosure protection is available through the federal Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security (CARES) Act.
