Stay at Home Order LiftedCalifornia Public Health Officials have lifted the Regional Stay at Home Order for all regions in California. Announced on Jan 25, the order for California is lifted and allows all counties to go back into the Tier System.
San Luis Obispo County reverts back to the Purple Tier.
This allows for: - Retail: Open indoors with modifications
- Shopping Centers: Open indoors with modifications
- Hair Salons & Barbershops: Open indoors with modifications
- Places of Worship: Outdoor only with modifications
- Hotels & Lodging: Open with modifications
- Gyms & Fitness Centers: Outdoor only with modifications
- Restaurants: Outdoor only with modifications
- Wineries: Outdoor only with modifications

Propane Assistance ProgramPaso Robles City Council allocated $100,000 towards the purchase of propane as part of the Recovery Program to assist local businesses with providing outdoor public spaces, subject to State and County health orders.
The Paso Robles Chamber of Commerce is facilitating the recovery program and acting as administrator of the program and funds.
Program Stipulations Include: - Must have a valid City of Paso Robles business license
- Businesses must certify COVID-19 guidelines and restrictions and adhere to the City of Paso Robles Fire Department’s guide for the safe use of portable gas-fired heaters
- Amount of reimbursement equal to 50% total expense, not to exceed $700/month
- Receipts dated January 1, 2021 - March 31, 2021 are eligible for reimbursement
- Receipts will be evaluated for reimbursement on a monthly basis. Forms must be completed in full with applicable documentation included and received before the 7th of the following month

"Keep It Local" ProgramThe City of Paso Robles just launched a new promotion to encourage Paso residents to support their local businesses. The Paso Robles "Keep it Local" Gift Card Program is designed to generate additional sales revenue for local businesses and save residents money on local goods and services. The program allows locals to buy full-value gift cards or certificates from Paso Robles businesses at a 20% discount and the City will then reimburse the 20% discount amount back to participating businesses up to $1,000 per business, equating to $5,000 in additional sales revenue per business. Childcare Supply DriveThe Economic Vitality Corporation of San Luis Obispo County, in collaboration with First 5 SLO County, Child Care Planning Council SLO County, and the Community Action Partnership of San Luis Obispo County, has established a COVID-19 relief supply drive that will run through January 27, 2021. This supply drive will benefit more than 290 local child care programs, licensed to serve over 6000 children, that are experiencing devastating losses and mounting costs due to the pandemic. Eviction ProtectionAvailable to anyone with a coronavirus-related hardship, like loss of or reduction income; prevents you from being evicted if you declare your hardship. Protection runs through February 1, 2021. The governor has presented the state legislature with a package that would extend the eviction moratorium through June 30 and provide funding for back rent, which is expected to be approved this week. Mortgage AssistanceAvailable to homeowners or landlords who own 3 or fewer residential properties. Prevents your property from being foreclosed on if declare a COVID-related hardship. Protection length varies depending on program. If you have a federally-backed mortgage, foreclosure protection is available through the federal Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security (CARES) Act. Unemployment InsuranceIn December 2020, the federal government passed legislation providing an additional 11 weeks of benefits. This is in addition to the additional 13 weeks of unemployment benefits that was part of the CARES Act. The legislation also includes a $300 per week supplement to unemployment benefits.
