CA to Reopen June 15California is preparing to get back to normal. On June 15, capacity and distancing restrictions will be lifted for most businesses and activities. Large-scale indoor events will have vaccination or negative test requirements for attendees through at least October 1. More details

Short-Term Rental Permits The City recently accepted the 325th application for a non-hosted short-term rental permit, which is the maximum number allowed. Any new applications for non-hosted short-term rental permits received by the City will be placed on a waiting list until a permit becomes available. Permits are not transferable to new property owners except within the T-zones of the Uptown-Town Centre Specific Plan area. Details

City Hall & Annex Reopening On June 1, Paso Robles City Hall at 1000 Spring Street and the City Hall Annex at 821 Pine Street will reopen to the public for walk-in services. Public counter hours will be Monday-Thursday from 10am-12pm and 1pm-3pm. Community Development Permitting processes will remain paperless. Summer Pool Care TipsIf you own a pool, the City has put together some tips for draining, repairing and refilling this summer. First check the condition of your pool for holes in the liner, missing tiles, or other problems that might require the pool to be drained. If you need to drain your pool prior to repairs, you can find more information here.

Keep It Local Program End 6/15Buy your local gift cards now! The "Keep It Local" gift card program ends on June 15, to coincide with the potential re-opening of the state’s economy. This program is designed to generate sales revenue for local businesses and save residents money. Disaster Preparedness TrainingNorth SLO County Community Emergency Response (CERT) is offering a Basic Training class for disaster response skills this July and August. Participants will learn how to prepare for disasters, basic first aid, the psychology of disaster, how to extinguish small fires, safe procedures for conducting structure search and rescue, and about terrorism and hazardous materials. Babysitting & CPR Skills CampParticipants (ages 11-16) will receive lots of hands-on safety practice, learn basic care for different age groups, practice storytelling skills and learn how to use guidance skills with small children. CPR training and First Aid included. Session 1: June 21-24 or Session 2: July 12-15, 2-5 p.m. at Bear Kitten Preschool. $60 registration/per session + $40 materials fee. Learn more and register here.

Summer Location Shooting Learn how to shoot better photos during this four-class course. Students will practice on-location shooting at local beaches over two Saturday afternoons. Participants must have a basic knowledge of their digital camera. Class meetings Thursday, June 10 and Monday, June 28 from 6-8 p.m. at Centennial Park. Location shoots Saturday June 12 & 19 from 1-5 p.m.

On Wednesday, June 9, 7:00 p.m., NAMI representative Pam Zweifl will present information on the types of services NAMI offers to our local community and how to help loved ones who may be facing a mental illness. Try It! Tuesdays Popular children’s library program Try It! Tuesdays will be revamped for the summer with Grab & Go kits! Stop by the library to pick up a kit containing everything you will need to participate then tune in to Facebook on Tuesdays at 4 pm to Try It! with Miss Melissa. It’s fast, it’s fun, and it’s free! Translation Services AvailableThe City of Paso Robles is using a new translation service to help callers more quickly. The service allows City staff to easily connect to a third-party translation service via a conference call. The service has been in use by the Police Department for some time and will now be available to all departments when callers access the City’s information line at 805.227.7276.
