SLO County in Yellow Tier

SLO County has met the requirements to advance from the Orange Tier into the less restrictive Yellow Tier of the State’s Blueprint for a Safer Economy, effective Wednesday, June 9, 2021 at 8 a.m.
What does this mean for SLO County?
  • Restaurants: 50% capacity indoors; 200-person maximum is removed.
  • Gyms and Fitness Centers: capacity increases to 50% indoors; saunas and steam rooms can open.
  • Wineries and Breweries: capacity increases to 50% indoors or 200 people maximum
  • Movie Theaters: 50% capacity indoors; 200-person maximum is removed.
  • Museums, Zoos and Aquariums: Indoor capacity limit removed.
  • Bars with no food service: 25% capacity indoors or 100 people maximum.
  • Gatherings and events: Have fewer restrictions; view the County’s checklists for capacity limits and restrictions.

The COVID-19 vaccine is one of the most important ways to protect our community and end the pandemic. Now, you can host a mobile vaccine clinic for your organization or neighborhood. The County of San Luis Obispo is accepting applications for mobile vaccine clinics to provide on-site vaccination for up to 200 people. More details

What Will Change June 15

California is preparing to get back to normal. Beginning June 15, all sectors listed in the current Blueprint Activities and Business Tiers Chart may return to usual operations (with the limited exceptions for Mega Events). Large-scale indoor events will have vaccination or negative test requirements for attendees through at least October 1.  More details

Emergency Broadband Benefit

Low-income households can now apply for the Emergency Broadband Benefit program to get online. The program provides $3.2 billion to the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) to provide a $50 monthly discount on in-home broadband service for eligible households, as well as a one-time $100 discount on a laptop, desktop, or tablet computer for those same qualifying households.

Utility Assistance

Many utility providers are not shutting off services due to non-payment. Check with the California Public Utilities Commission for more information.

The Water Board restricts the shut off of water during the COVID crisis. Report any water shutoff or reconnect issue at COVID-19 Water Shut-Off Complaint Report.
