4-Week Statewide Mask MandateCOVID-19 vaccines remain effective in preventing serious disease, hospitalization, and death from the SARS-CoV-2 virus. Unvaccinated persons are more likely to get infected and spread the virus which is transmitted through the air and concentrates indoors. To ensure that we collectively protect the health and well-being of all Californians; keep schools open for in-person instruction; and allow California's economy to remain open and thrive, the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) is requiring masks to be worn in all indoor public settings, irrespective of vaccine status, for the next four weeks (December 15, 2021 through January 15, 2022).

Boosters for the HolidaysEveryone ages 16 and older can get a COVID-19 booster dose. CDPH especially recommends everyone 50 years and older and those with underlying medical conditions to receive a booster dose as soon as possible. With winter and the holidays coming, people will be gathering indoors more, so it is important to get a booster to extend your strong protection against Omicron and other strains of COVID-19. Details

The December 1, 2021 meeting was hosted by Paso Robles Mayor Steve Martin at City Hall. The group collaborated on way forward for the working group and agreed to develop a formal entity to codify the cross-county partnerships to leverage resources, and have a greater voice in the community.
