Planning Commission OpeningsThe City of Paso Robles is now accepting applications for appointment to the Planning Commission. Appointments will be for 3-year terms expiring February 28, 2025. Commissioners can expect to dedicate 15 - 20 hours each month to meetings, subcommittee meetings and meeting preparation. Paso Robles 3Q Sales Tax HighlightsPaso Robles’ sales tax receipts from July through September were 10.8% above the third sales period in 2020. Excluding reporting aberrations, actual sales were up 13.6%. Restaurant recovery continues with increased sales and pricing. Read the report here.

Residential Permits Surpass 2019In 2021, valuation, permit counts, and residential permits issued were all UP, most surpassing 2019 pre-pandemic numbers. December's inspection count was the highest for all of 2021 and inspection counts are expected to rise in 2022 as the permitted projects will be underway. Downtown Parking Advisory CommissionThe City of Paso Robles is now accepting applications for appointment to the Downtown Parking Advisory Commission, which aids the City Council in gathering public input on the operation, continued development, and management of the Paso Robles Downtown Parking program. Supplemental Sales Tax Committee The City of Paso Robles is now accepting applications for appointments to fill two at-large member positions for the Supplemental Sales Tax Oversight Committee (SSTOC). Youth Evolution Basketball Your young player will practice age-appropriate skills including passing, shooting, and dribbling, all while increasing confidence in their basketball ability and most importantly having fun. Tuesdays, January 25-February 22 in the Centennial Park Gym. $100 (includes Youth Evolution Basketball jersey). Sibling discount and scholarships available. Art Park: Mixed Media ArtIn this mixed media art class students will explore the world of both two and three-dimensional media, such as pencil, acrylic paint and clay. Students will learn by following Ms. Mindy in a step-by-step method that allows the child to see projects take shape from beginning to end. $40 registration (includes all supplies needed for this class). 3:45-5:15 p.m. in the Centennial Park Acorn Room. Youth Evolution SoccerThis popular soccer series is for players of all abilities and skill level from age 2.5 to 12 years. From Baby Kickers (ages 2.5-3.5) to Level 3 players (ages 8-12) this class will help your player learn, build and sharpen their soccer skills through fun drills, games and scrimmages. Translation Services AvailableThe City of Paso Robles uses a translation service to help callers more quickly. The service allows City staff to easily connect to a third-party translation service via a conference call. The service has been in use by the Police Department for some time and is now available in all departments when callers access the City’s information line at 805.227.7276.
