Paso Robles City Library March 2022

The Paso Robles City Library is the place to discover, to learn, and to grow, empowering our community to achieve its vision for the future.

Story Time in a Box!

The Paso Robles City Library is pleased to announce the addition of Story Time Boxes! Carefully curated by Youth Services Librarian Melissa Bailey and Story Time superstars Cappy Culver and Frances Glasier to mirror the Library’s popular Story Time program, these boxes allow patrons to re-create librarian-built, age-appropriate story time experiences at home. With options for babies, toddlers, and preschoolers, as well as children in grade school, Story Time Boxes are available in the Children’s Library for one-week checkouts. A limited number of preschool boxes are in Spanish.

More Hot Spots Available

The Paso Robles City Library has acquired 22 additional Hot Spots for public check-out. This brings the library’s fleet of Hot Spots for check out to 42.
Hot Spots are mobile units that can provide off-site Internet access for up to ten devices. They can be reserved through the Black Gold catalog with a valid, full-access Paso Robles City Library card for a 7-day period.

These resources were supported in whole or in part by the U.S. Institute of Museum and Library Services under the provisions of the American Rescue Plan Act, administered in California by the State Librarian.

Ken Johnson Art on Display in March

The Library is pleased to display the photographic collection of local resident Ken Johnson. An avid outdoors person, Johnson finds his inspiration in Mother Nature. “The endless colors, weather, topography and overall beauty of the outdoors together with the changing moods and visual impact beg to be captured and shared,” he states. “California has some of our country’s most diverse landscapes. This series attempts to capture but a small portion of them, with a focus on local vistas.”
