City Officials Meet With Members of Congress in Washington D.C.Mayor Pro Tem Hamon led a delegation of city officials to Washington D.C. to meet with elected representatives about potential infrastructure funding support for the much needed State Route 46 overcrossing at Airport Road in Paso Robles. City officials met with Representatives Panetta and Carbajal, and key staff for Senators Feinstein and Padilla, as well as for Speaker of the House McCarthy. Paso Robles 2Q Sales Tax HighlightsPaso Robles’ receipts from July through September were 13.2% above the third sales period in 2021. Excluding reporting aberrations, actual sales were up 9.6%. Increased summer tourism helped grow overall sales tax. Restaurants experienced solid gains as enhanced optional dining areas, continued demand to eat out and higher menu prices all helped contribute. Read the report HERE.

Congressional District Office Coming to Paso Robles!Congressional redistricting in 2022 divided San Luis Obispo County into two parts with northern San Luis Obispo County becoming part of District 19 for the 118th Congress which was sworn in on January 3rd, 2023. Congressman Jimmy Panetta, the elected U.S. Representative for District 19, submitted a proposal to lease a portion of the vacant Paso Robles Train Station for a District Office. The Paso Robles City Council approved the lease agreement at the February 21st Council session, and the Congressional District Office will be opening in the coming weeks. AngelCon 2023 Startup ApplicationAngelCon is an annual event hosted by the Cal Poly CIE Small Business Development Center (SBDC) in which six innovative and disruptive startups compete for $100,000+ in equity backed funding to help expand their business. If your company meets the requirements, submit your application by midnight Mar. 17th, 2023. You could join the ranks of past startups who have collectively won $570,000 and received approximately $3M in follow-up investments.

How To Apply for a Business LicenseFind out how to apply for a business license, including fees, taxes, and other required permits and forms. The Department of Administrative Services is responsible for providing service to the general public, business license applicants and each existing licensee. Our objective is to assist each business in obtaining the proper business license and/or permit and to ensure proper compliance to the business license code for all businesses transacting business within the city.

Public Mapping ApplicationsThe City IT department has been hard at work developing and implementing the City’s new ArcGIS Enterprise system. This new platform will replace ArcReader and has allowed for the development of both public and staff GIS desktop and mobile applications.
