Parking Update

On March 1, 2023, the City Council acted to improve the City’s downtown parking program. Council action addressed concerns surrounding parking program revenue neutrality, consumer confusion and maintaining available parking at an 85% occupancy rate during peak days and hours. Council will receive a 90-day update at their June 6th meeting.

Draining a Pool Safely

When (if??) Paso heats up, the pool starts calling your name. Juneteenth Celebration

On Saturday, June 17, 2023 at 1:00PM in City Park, Paso Robles residents are invited to experience a day of celebration of the Black community. Experience opportunities to remember and learn historic milestones that have lead to progress. This is a day we gather to share culture with food, speakers, games and community. More info

Public Hearing - Fees

A Public Hearing will take place on Tuesday, June 20, 2023, at 6:30 p.m. concerning adoption of a resolution imposing proposed fee amendments in an effort to promote cost recovery for services provided. The staff report and resolution describing the proposed fees will be posted at www.prcity.com/meetings no later than 72 hours preceding the hearing. More info

Roundabout Ribbon Cutting

A ribbon cutting will be held on Friday, June 23, 2023 to celebrate the opening of the Paso Robles' first ever roundabout, located at Golden Hill and Union Road. The project was funded by Development Impact Fees with a grant from SLOCOG; no supplemental sales tax funds were used. The roundabout is expected to be open soon. 

New City Librarian

The City of Paso Robles is pleased to announce the appointment of Eric P. Lashley as the new City Librarian. With an impressive background in library management and a passion for community engagement, Lashley brings a wealth of experience and innovative ideas to the position. More about Eric

Next City Council Meeting

The next City Council meeting takes place on June 6, 2023 beginning at 6:30 PM. Residents can attend in person or listen live and view the presentations on the City's YouTube channel here. 

To provide public comment during the meeting, call (805) 865-PASO (7276). The agenda can be found here 72 hours prior to the meeting. 

Art Park Summer Camp

Your young artist will use mixed-media for art projects such as clay, paint, and even some tie dye! We will play games, read books, enjoy the playground and listen to music. Students from all over North County participate making Art Park Camp a wonderful place to meet new friends. Learn more and register here. 

Summer Fun STEAM Day Camp

Students ages 7-13 are invited to join a credentialed teacher for five fun-filled days of science, engineering, arts, social activities, culinary, music, public speaking and more through popular themes like Star Wars, Pokémon and Harry Potter.  Monday, June 12-Friday, June 16 from 9 AM-noon. $189 registration + $10 supply fee (payable to the instructor at the first class). $10 sibling discount. Advanced Photography

Join professional photographer Sharon West to go beyond the basics and get creative in your photography. Students will learn about long exposure photography techniques, bracketing, photo composition, location scouting and using photo apps.  Mondays June 12-July 17 from 6-7 PM (no class 6/19 or 7/3).  $45 registration fee (10% active or retired military discount).  Centennial Park White Oak Room. Creative Engineering Camps

Join STEAMworks for Kids for a full or half day of science exploration.  They’ll learn about the engineering design process and how to apply it to simple engineering skills involving aviation and building. Tuesday, June 20-Friday, June 23. Learn more and register here

Did you know that 1 in 5 adults currently live with a mental illness? SLO County Behavioral Health is bringing mental health support and awareness to our community in May. Mental health resources, activities, and details on free events across the county can be found on their website.
