Draft Boundary Maps Available for Review on March 11 

Driven by a legal challenge, the City of Paso Robles is transitioning from an at-large election system to a by-district system. Maps have been submitted by residents and consultants and are available for review on our website. Additional maps may be submitted through 3/8. City Council will review all submitted maps on 3/19 and adopt the final map by April 30, 2019. View Maps

Short term rental task force and public

Short Term Rental Task Force Meetings

The first meeting of the reconvened task force took place on Wednesday, February 27, 2019 to review the draft Short Term Rental ordinance and plot a work plan. About 50 members of the public attended and 10 gave public comment. The committee will be meeting weekly on Wednesdays at 10:00 AM in the City Council Chamber at 1000 Spring Street. Agendas

The Paso Robles City Council meets the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of each month at 6:30 PM in the City Council Chamber at 1000 Spring Street.

Downtown Parking Program Update

Many thanks to the downtown businesses that are participating in the Downtown Employee Parking Permit Pilot Program. Their commitment to parking in off-street lots is freeing up street parking for customers Mon-Fri from 8-5.  Here's how it's going so far.

Save the Dates: The next Parking Update takes place at the March 5, 2019 City Council meeting and there is a Parking Stakeholders meeting on March 20, 2019

The DRC has the authority to make decisions on all applications for development review, reviews and comments on all major development projects before such projects are scheduled for review and consideration by the Planning Commission or City Council for final action.

City Council Meeting
Tuesday, March 5, 2019, 6:30 PM @ City Council Chamber, 1000 Spring Street
The City Council establishes City policies, adopts ordinances, approves resolutions, makes land use decisions, approves agreements and contracts, hears appeals on decisions made by City staff or advisory committees, and sets the budget and utility rates. The Council acts as the board of directors of the municipal corporation and meets in a public forum where citizens may participate in the governmental process.

National Teen Tech Week—Exploring Circuits

Creative circuitry class for teens
Teens, ages 14-17, are invited to explore simple circuitry on Tuesday, March 5, 4:00-5:00 p.m. in the Library Group Study Room. These circuit sets allow students the opportunity to be creative and explore circuitry while building anything from a motion sensor alarm to a drawing robot. Space is limited. Kids from Make a Wish Foundation with PRPD officers

Emergency Services Department Hosts Make a Wish Foundation Presentation

On Saturday Feb. 23 the Paso Robles Emergency Services Department hosted a presentation for the Make a Wish Foundation for Justin Van Pelt. Justin is an 8-year-old from Paso Robles that suffers from Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. Justin and his family were granted a a Fire Department tour and experience with the Firefighters as part of the presentation.

Over the past two years the City of Paso Robles has increased its community engagement efforts through social media, City events and workshops, speakers bureaus and participating in events such as Wake Up Paso (left), Leadership North County and more. It is the City of Paso Robles' goal to foster two-way communication and understanding between residents and their local government.
