By-District Election Maps to Be Considered by City Council Driven by a legal challenge, the City of Paso Robles is transitioning from an at-large election system to a by-district system. Maps have been submitted by residents and consultants and are currently available for review on our website.

Downtown Parking Public MeetingDowntown parking stakeholders, customers and residents are invited to hear parking data and a status update of the parking pilot program on March 20, 2019 from 4:00-6:00 PM.
Attendees will be asked to give input and help identify options for a permanent parking program once the pilot concludes at the end of April. Refreshments will be served.

Short Term Rental Task Force MeetingsOn February 19, 2019 the City Council requested that the Short-Term Rental Task Force review and update the draft ordinance created by the original task force and present their recommendation to the Planning Commission within 60 days. The committee will be meeting weekly on Wednesdays at 10:00 AM in the City Council Chamber at 1000 Spring Street through mid-April. Agendas

Adult Co-Ed VolleyballComprised of competitive women's and co-ed divisions, ranging from four to eight teams a night. Each team is guaranteed 10 matches (2 matches a night, 5 weeks of play) with the top four teams progressing to playoffs. Team registration is $306, which covers referees, equipment and prizes. Players must be at least 14 years of age. Each team will need a minimum of six players. $6 annual mandatory insurance dues. Details

Learn to Knit and CrochetOn Saturday, March 23, 10:30-noon, beginning knitters can learn to cast on, knit, purl, and bind off. Beginners in crochet can learn the chain stitch, single crochet and double crochet. Supplies are provided. Those experienced with knitting and crochet are welcome to bring their projects and work on them as well. Space is limited. Registration is required. For ages 13+.

Woods Humane Society expands spay/neuter and surgery capacityWoods Humane Society has increased spay and neuter capacity to provide additional surgery appointments for Central Coast dogs and cats. Woods is strongly urging area residents to help ensure that all cats are spayed or neutered. Appointments are made online at spayslocounty.org for SLO and Atascadero clinics.

PRPD at Special OlympicsOn February 28th, the Paso Robles Police Dept. was invited to the annual Special Olympics SLO County Unified Basketball Tournament hosted by Paso Robles High School. Competing in the tournament were Special Olympics athletes from PRHS, the adult learning program and teams from Atascadero and San Luis Coastal School Districts. Our PRPD officers were there to cheer on these amazing athletes and had the great honor of presenting the medals to the competing athletes. We wish the athletes the best of luck at the regional games on May 3rd at Cuesta College.

Officer Rogers retires after 25 years On February 28th, after 25 years with the Paso Robles Police Department, Officer Bobby Rogers announced his retirement! Bobby started his career as a dispatcher, eventually became a police officer and has held many positions within the Department including K9 Handler, Field Training Officer and Range Master.
We are happy for Bobby and look forward to the great things he has planned as he moves into retirement! Congratulations Bobby!
