Prepare for Fire SeasonTo prepare for the upcoming fire season, the Paso Robles Department of Emergency Services would like to remind residents and property owners about the City’s weed abatement program. Property within the City must have all weeds mowed, disced, or otherwise removed to lessen fire hazards. Please clear all combustible vegetation, including dead leaves, weeds, brush, and tree limbs no later than May 1, 2019.

Short-Term Rental Ordinance ReviewedOn April 23, the Paso Robles Planning Commission discussed a proposed draft ordinance addressing short-term rental properties within city limits. Ultimately, the Commission voted to continue the item to the May 14, 2019 Planning Commission meeting, with direction to increase some restrictions in residential zones.

Mock City Council MeetingEvery school year the Kermit King Elementary Leadership class is led through a Mock City Council meeting by the Mayor to get their take on an issue facing the community. This year they will be joined by the Leadership class from Bauer Speck Elementary and together the groups will design Kickoff Parties to celebrate the City's change to by-district elections.
