Short-Term Rental UpdateThe Paso Robles Planning Commission reviewed the draft Short-Term Rental ordinance on May 15 and is recommending it to the City Council. PG&E Wildfire Safety InitiativeGiven the continued and growing threat of extreme weather and wildfires, and as an additional precautionary measure following the 2017 and 2018 wildfires, PG&E is expanding and enhancing their Community Wildfire Safety Program (CWSP) to further reduce wildfire risks and help keep our customers and the communities we serve safe. Recycled Water Distribution ProjectThe City of Paso Robles recently received news that its Recycled Water Distribution Project was included in the California State Revolving Fund Program’s Draft Intended Use Plan, making it eligible for low interest financing and a $2.5 million grant. The project will provide a drought-resilient water supply that can be used to offset irrigation demands and will deliver water to high-use sites in the City and neighboring irrigators. Details

Downtown Parking UpdateOn May 7, 2019 City Council approved the following: 1. Extend the employee parking permit program for an additional 90 days; 2. Initiate two hours of free parking in area extending from 10th Street to 14th Street, and from Spring Street to Pine Street, between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m., Monday-Friday; 3. Take the necessary steps to have the full paid parking program ready for implementation in 90 days; and 4. Return to Council for the necessary budget adjustments, authorizations, etc.

"Annie Jr." presented by ACT Over the first two weekends in May, 79 young performers (ages 6 - 17) put on a show attendees won't soon forget. There were six performances featuring 2 main casts, all directed by local hero Vikky Mullin. Said Mayor Steve Martin: "My wife and I had a wonderful time being entertained by the Applause Childrens Theater. It was great to see such an excellent performance involving so many young people.
