Farmers Market Time ChangeAs of 6/25/19 and continuing each week, the Tuesday Farmers Market on 11th Street will be held from 9:00 AM to 11:30 AM. Parking restrictions will be in effect from 8:00 AM to noon. Please note the updated No Parking signs and the "Towing Today" street barricades! For more information on Farmers Markets, click here. Food Waste Recycling ProgramRecently, in an effort to keep food waste out of landfills and cut methane gas emissions, a state law was enacted asking restaurants and businesses to recycle their food scraps so they can be combined with green waste and turned into nutrient-rich compost. Short-Term Rental Ordinance UpdateOn June 18 the City Council did not approve the second reading of a short-term rental ordinance that would ban short-term rentals in R-1 zones and instead directed staff to develop an ordinance amending the City’s Zoning Code to regulate short-term rentals in all zoning districts throughout the City, bringing the draft back for first reading on July 16, 2019. The new draft ordinance will be posted here 72 hours prior to the meeting. Details

Business Success Center ComingOn June 18, the City Council approved the City’s lease of 1345 Park Street, and a sublease with The Sandbox, to develop a business success center downtown, which will provide co-working spaces, access to resources and business development events. The effort is a public-private partnership with the City pulling the necessary elements together and the private sector providing the ongoing energy and expertise. Details
