Public Hearing Notice: Short-Term Rental Ordinance First ReadingOn July 16, 2019 the City Council will hold a public hearing to consider a Zoning Ordinance amendment concerning short-term rentals, after opting not to approve a previous version of the ordinance in June. The new draft ordinance will be posted here 72 hours prior to the meeting.

Paid Parking Starts Mid-AugustPay stations have been installed downtown, with paid parking to begin on August 14. There is an activated pay station located at 13th and Park for those who would like to practice using it. Details about paid parking: - First 2 hours will be free, $1/hr after
- Merchants will be offering validation
- Employee parking permits are $5/mo

Engineering InspectorThe Engineering Inspector reviews and processes grading permits, utility service (water and wastewater connections) and public right-of-way permits in order to ensure conformance with city standards and approved plans, assesses fees, and maintains records. He/she inspects construction projects located in or impacting rights-of-way and public easements for compliance with municipal codes and standards and performs related duties as required.

Table Top Game DayThe Library offers a monthly gaming event -- Table Top Game Day!, On Saturday, July 27, 1:00-4:00 PM, the featured game is Galaxy Trucker, in which players construct a spaceship and fly to the edge of the galaxy. Or you can play any of the games owned by the Library including other trending games such as Settlers of Catan and Terraforming Mars and classic games such as Monopoly and Clue. Light refreshments will be provided. Designed for ages 16+.

NEW: Large-Group Story TimeSpecially designed for preschool and daycare groups, ages 3-6—the last Tuesday of the month, beginning July 30, 10:00 am. The program includes songs, stories, and motor skill development exercises and runs about 40 minutes. Groups must come with a ratio of one adult for every eight children. Space is limited. Paso Robles Concerts in the ParkPaso Robles Concerts in the Park is a long running, popular, FREE community event for all ages. The concert series takes place on Thursday evenings through the summer and typically draws approximately 2,500 visitors to the Downtown City Park. The 2019 series will include nine concerts, kicking off on June 6.
