Paid Parking Launches August 14

Pay stations have been installed downtown, with paid parking to begin on August 14. There are activated pay stations throughout the downtown to practice using the system, or come to one of the following info sessions

  • Tues, August 6 - Paso Farmers Market
  • Thurs, August 8 - Concerts in the Park
  • Tues, August 13 - Paso Farmers Market
  • Thurs, August 15 - Concerts in the Park

    City Preparing for Emergencies

    On July 16, 2019 the City Council proclaimed a local public health and safety emergency related to the risk of multi-day electrical power outages in the north county this summer and fall. This will allow the City to protect critical infrastructure, continue to provide vital services, and provide respite for citizens without power. Newly purchased or rented generators will power community cooling centers in the Council Chamber, Senior Center, and Centennial Banquet Room. Details

    How to Prepare for a Public Safety Power Shutoff

    In order to keep communities safe, your local energy company may need to turn off power during extreme weather or wildfire conditions. This is called a Public Safety Power Shutoff. It is important to prepare an emergency plan in advance in the event your family is affected by a power shutoff – or any other emergency. Each household in Paso Robles should prepare . Here is how

    2020 Census Workers in Paso

    2020 Census Address Enumerators will begin working throughout the State next week. They are temporary Federal Employees working from their private vehicles. The work is about visually checking and updating the address database of all households, prior to the mailing of the 2020 Census questionaire on March 1, 2020.
    They will have a Federal ID and have passed a fingerprint and background check. If Paso Robles residents have any questions or concerns, contact the current Area Census Office (ACO) in Bakersfield at 661-546-8800.

    The Paso Robles City Council meets the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of each month at 6:30 PM in the City Council Chamber at 1000 Spring Street.

    Parks Maintenance Specialist I/II 

    The Parks Maintenance Specialist performs a variety of semi-skilled work in the construction, modification, maintenance, repair and operation of City infrastructure,
    including trails, open space and trees. Weekend shifts may be required. A link to the full job description and online application is available HERE.

    Fall Classes and Activities Now Open

    The Fall 2019 Activity Guide arrived in mailboxes all over Paso Robles this week via your City water bill.     The City of Paso Robles Memorial Tree and Bench Program is provided by the REC Foundation, a nonprofit group formed for the financial benefit and enhancement of City parks and recreation. The program offers individuals and organizations a means to enhance our City Parks and to provide an opportunity to recognize loved ones who have passed away, or to honor those who have made an impact in our community.     Create an astronomical display on a wood slice that can be hung on a wall, used as a trivet, or given as a gift to your favorite astronaut. Participants will learn special painting techniques to create an out-of-this-world work of art, embellishing their galaxy with stars, constellations, and the moon. All supplies and instruction are included. Space is limited. Registration is required. For ages 16+.
