Paid Parking Launches August 14

Pay stations have been installed downtown, with paid parking to begin on August 14. There are activated pay stations throughout the downtown to practice using the system, or come to one of the following info sessions: 

• Tues, August 6 - Paso Farmers Market
• Thurs, August 8 - Concerts in the Park
• Tues, August 13 - Paso Farmers Market
• Thurs, August 15 - Concerts in the Park

City Preparing for Emergencies

On July 16, 2019 the City Council proclaimed a local public health and safety emergency related to the risk of multi-day electrical power outages in the north county this summer and fall. This will allow the City to protect critical infrastructure, continue to provide vital services, and provide respite for citizens without power. Newly purchased or rented generators will power community cooling centers in the Council Chamber, Senior Center, and Centennial Banquet Room. Details

The Paso Robles City Council meets the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of each month at 6:30 PM in the City Council Chamber at 1000 Spring Street.

Parks Maintenance Specialist I/II 

The Parks Maintenance Specialist performs a variety of semi-skilled work in the construction, modification, maintenance, repair and operation of City infrastructure,
including trails, open space and trees. Weekend shifts may be required. A link to the full job description and online application is available HERE.

Performs non-sworn duties within the Police Department and attends a P.O.S.T. Certified Basic Academy, which is approximately 6 months in length. Upon graduation and award of the Academy Basic Certificate, candidates may be appointed and sworn-in as a Police Officer.

Teens, paint a cosmic zodiac sign to hang on your wall. It will be messy and fun, and you’ll go home with unique art you made yourself!

Make It @ the Library! Wood Slice Galaxy

Saturday, August 3, 10:30 AM-12:30 PM
Create an astronomical display on a wood slice that can be hung on a wall, used as a trivet, or given as a gift to your favorite astronaut. Participants will learn special painting techniques to create an out-of-this-world work of art, embellishing their galaxy with stars, constellations, and the moon. All supplies and instruction are included. Space is limited. Registration is required. For ages 16+.
