STR Permit Deadline is 10/9/19Starting 9/9/19 short-term rental (STR) permit applications will be accepted from owners in possession of an existing, valid STR business license whose business license application was submitted to the City on or before 7/16/19. All business licenses will be eligible for a short-term rental permit. After 10/9/19 no more short-term rental permit applications will be accepted for 60 days. Details

Niblick Corridor Plan Public OutreachThe City is beginning a community-based planning effort for Niblick Road. A “Complete and Sustainable Streets Corridor Plan” will be developed through a robust public process that engages residents, property owners, school parents and children, businesses and others to explore ways to improve safety, access, and mobility for all types of travel (walking, bicycling, driving and riding the bus) and for people of all ages and abilities.

6-Year Street Repair PlanOn October 1, 2019 City Council will vote to approve the proposed 6-year street repair plan proposed by the Supplemental Sales Tax Oversight Committee. This updated Street Maintenance and Repair Expenditure Plan outlines how the remaining six years of the Supplemental Sales Tax revenues will be allocated to address residential streets, arterials, and collectors. Seeking Supplemental Tax Oversight Committee MembersThe City of Paso Robles Supplemental Tax Oversight Committee is currently accepting applications to fill several open seats of the seven-member committee. In 2012, citizens authorized a 1/2 cent sales tax increase and requested it be used for road maintenance. The city will accept applications for appointment to this committee until 5 p.m. on Friday, October 17, 2019.

Coffee with a CopThe Paso Robles Police Department, in conjunction with Spearhead Coffee, will be hosting a “Coffee with a Cop” event. The event will take place on October 2, 2019 at Spearhead, located at 619 12th Street, from 7:30 – 9:30AM. The mission of Coffee with a Cop is to break down barriers between police officers and the citizens they serve by removing agendas and allowing opportunities to ask questions, voice concerns, and get to know the officers in your neighborhood.

Sherwood Park Restrooms DoneThe new restrooms at Sherwood Park are complete and reopened on September 25, 2019.
The prefabricated structure has an atrium style design with 6 stalls, hand washing station and a drinking fountain with bottle filler.

Youth Evolution Basketball Children will explore the sport of basketball through fun and creative activities. Youth Evolution’s motto is “Play, Learn, Grow.” Sportsmanship is the number one priority of these classes designed for ages 2-11 years. Classes include Baby Ballers (ages 2-3.5), Level 1 (ages 3.5-5), Level 2 (ages 5-7) and Level 3 (ages 7-11). $70/4 week session. Classes begin Tuesday, October 1 at the Centennial Park Gym.
