Niblick Corridor Plan Public Outreach

The City of Paso Robles is seeking community input on improving Niblick Road. The Niblick Road Complete and Sustainable Streets Corridor Plan will address safety, walking, biking, transit, traffic and streetscaping along the corridor between Vine Street and Fontana Road. Public input workshops are scheduled for November 4-7, 2019. Details

Roundabout at Golden Hill and Union

Golden Hill and Union Upgrades

The City’s Circulation Element has identified the need to improve the intersection at Golden Hill Road and Union Road. On October 29, 2019 the City Council approved plans to begin embarking on a solution to the challenge at this intersection. Preliminary designs for a single-lane roundabout were presented and approved.  Details

Draft EIR Available for Review for Olsen-South Chandler Ranch Specific Plan

The City is asking Paso Robles residents to review the report and submit any comments or concerns vie email or mail. The 45-day public review process for the draft EIR takes place from October 18 – December 2, 2019. Details and Report

13th Street pedestrian crossing

13th Street Safety Improvements

In 2016, City Council directed staff to use an Urban State Highway Grant to enhance and improve 13th Street pedestrian crossings. After after seeking public input on designs and following Federal Highway Administration guidelines, pedestrian safety upgrades were recently completed. Details

Provides technical expertise and performs a variety of technical and field support tasks involving skilled or semi-skilled work in the operation, enforcement, maintenance, and problem resolution in connection with the operation of an activated sludge wastewater treatment process. Operates a variety of plant equipment and instrumentation, including controllers, pumps, analyzers, flow meters, transducers, chlorinators, blowers and cogeneration related equipment.

Under general direction from the Recreation Manager, this part-time, continuous position oversees the seasonal programming operations of two municipal pool facilities. Flexible scheduling is required throughout the year. A typical schedule is 12-15 hours per week from September to mid-May and up to 40 hours per week from mid-May through August.

SWPTA award plaque honoring Donna King

Parking Ambassador Named "Parking Employee of the Year"

Paso Robles Parking Ambassador Donna King was awarded the Southwest Parking & Transportation Association (SWPTA) 2019 "Parking Employee of the Year" Award. Her role as Parking Ambassador includes the management of parking enforcement, paid parking, permit parking, and merchant validation, all while providing "exceptional customer service. She has gone above and beyond to ensure the success of program." Nomination

Mayor honoring Catherine Piatti and Ryan Cornell

City Accounting Department Wins National Award  

The City's Administrative Services Department received national recognition for their work on the City's Comprehensive Annual Financial Report for FY 2018. Paso Robles has been recognized by the state before, but not nationally. Mayor Martin recently recognized Catherine Piatti and Ryan Cornell (see photo at left) for their work on the report. Report

Paso Firefighters Deployed throughout the State

Two fire engines and two Battalion Chiefs were dispatched to the LA County “Tick Fire” on Thursday October 24, at 3:30 PM. On Saturday October 26, all crews were released from LA County and sent directly to Sonoma County. One engine and two Battalion Chiefs are committed to the “Kincade Fire” and one engine is currently pre-positioned in Walnut Creek.

Tertiary Treatment Plant Completed

On October 30, 2019 the City of Paso Robles hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony and facility tour to celebrate the completion of one of the largest and most complex infrastructure projects in the City’s history, new Tertiary Treatment Facilities at the City’s Wastewater Treatment Plant. Many City officials, Assemblyman Jordan Cunningham, and other interested persons attended the event.  Details
